Soaking in the Sun (Forum Set)

We will be making a forum set.

This tutorial written for those who have a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:

Corel PSP X2 or any PSP version will work.

Tubes of choice

I am using the artwork of by Simon Han. I am using both the close up and full image tube.

You can purchase a license to use his artwork PSP Tubes Emporium.

Plugins: Mura’s Meister – Copy

Eye Candy 5 – Glass and gradient glow

Font of choice – I used Stealth Magnum and Tekton Pro.

Supplies here

1. .Open a NEW transparent image 550x250 pixels

and open second NEW transparent image 150x150.

2. Open you tube copy and paste the close up in to your 550x250 image.

Reisze to fit in your pallet, move to the left, duplicate and mirror, merge down.

Adjust > Blur > Gaussian Blur 10

Effects > Mura’s Meister > Copy - Wall Paper default settings.

Effects > Artist Effects > Halftone – settings

Halftone pattern – Lines – size 2

Screen Angle > 1.-30 2.-30 3.-30

Check use overlay – Multiply > Opacity – 50

Duplicate – mirror – blend mode – lighten

Merge down

3. Using your selection too rectangle – select a square about the size of your 150x150 image pallet.

Edit copy – click on your 150x150 image – Selection – Select All – Edit – Paste into Selection

Selection – Modify – Contract – 3 > Selection – Invert. Flood fill with black or color of choice.

Back to the larger pallet - Selection – Select All – Edit – Paste into Selection

Selection – Modify – Contract – 3 > Selection – Invert. Flood fill with black or color of choice

4. Selection too – Draw a Rectangle (see my image for size)

Effects – Eye Candy 5 – Glass Settings >Clear with Reflection apply.

Move it to the bottom of your image.

Move below your frame image.

Repeat this step in your 150 x150 image.

5. Copy your full tube paste your tube onto your 550x550 image.

Resize to fit in the image pallet. Position center.

Add a drop shadow of choice.

Repeat these steps for your 150x150 image.

6. Open the Sun1 image, Copy and paste in your Large image.

Effects > Illumination Effect – Sunburst default settings. Move this below the tube layer.

Repeat steps above using Sun image in your 150x150 pallet.

7. Text tool – Type out SOAKING IN THE SUN – I used a gradient of 2 colors from my image.

Convert to raster layer - Effects Gradient Glow > Settings – 5 – 100 -100 – 0 - 0 – 100

colors used was darker and lighter colors from my image.

Duplicate your text – Image – Flip – Blend mode Luminance (legacy) – 50%

Repeat the same in you 150x150 except just use the word “SUN”

Apply the same gradient glow to your black frame in both images.

8. Add copy right and Name – save and your done.
